            In 1982, Investment Management Associates, Inc. (IMA) led by seasoned administrators with hands-on experience in the construction industry, saw the future in the real estate industry a little differently than the majority of its competitors. Largely due to the background and experience of its principals, the decision was made to create a boutique firm catering to the more sophisticated real estate owner, with a goal of creating the most competent, effective real estate company possible.
